Eat, pray, Lovecrumbs

LovecrumbsJust like Julia Roberts does on her journey in Eat, Pray, Love, throw your diet overboard and try one, or two, of the delicious cakes at Lovecrumbs. The café is only a five minute walk from Grassmarket and the perfect place to meet up with your friends, have a cappuccino and share various cakes, tartes and brownies. For those who are looking for savoury food, they offer snacks as well.

If you discover the city on your own, your time at Lovecrumbs is well spent, too. Try to get one of the seats in the huge shop window. It’s a nook which embraces you with its cosiness, make yourself comfortable with soft, velvety pillows and read a book or just watch the flow of people passing by.

Lovecrumbs 1The home-made pastries, which cost up to £3.50, are definitely worth the money. For any chocolate-lover, try the chocolate-caramel tarte or order the rose and cardamom hot chocolate. They also offer vegan cake, so it’s assured that everyone with a sweet tooth will be satisfied. And if you’re just as enthusiastic as me about their hot beverages, you can purchase your favourite tea or hot chocolate in their shop and even online on their website.
